Guys...
I can't find an aftermarket clutch for this damn thing. Are the ones they come with as good as it gets?? I can't even find the stock one on polaris' part finder.

I haven't rode this thing yet so I'm in the dark still. All I did when I bought it was had the dealer punch holes in the track for me so I wouldn't have to. That's a pain.

I did find a can for it which I will definately be buying.
600rr and IQr owners...I guess i'm just wondering if the stock clutch is the way to go.
Keep in mind, this thing isn't ever going on long trips...just a toy to beat around my area so top end isn't a factor at all either. If anyone has done any other mods to these sleds I'd like to know that too.
Thanks
Adam

Just find someone to mess around with the springs and wieghts if you cant do it yourself. I do not reccomend purchasing a "kit" as every sled is different. I do know you will be wanting to see 8200-8300 at WOT. Just take a look at whats in there now for wieghts and what color primary spring. there's a polaris spring chart on the poo main page. madcow might even be able to come up with something as well.

What should be the max RPM? 8200-8300 at WOT?

Will be getting Con-Fused by a 700 this summer! HAHA

had the same idea with the clutching on my RR. I feel that the stock clutching is a bit high at engagement and I wanted a little lower RPM clutch engagement.
wonder if I would kill the power band if I went with the same clutching as the '07 IQ 600 which engages around 3700-3800 RPM's.

Primary...

10-62 weights...
spring: Polaris Almond blue (150/340 rate)

Secondary...

Black/White secondary spring..
*Be sure to run the DELRIN washers*
Helix: 52/36/.42

Gearing 41/23 or something around there..

Give that a try.

Be sure to check belt deflection...
