i want to drop as much weight as possible of my 95 xcr600 any ideas on what to do? one thought was too make a seat frame out of small angle iron and have it padded and covered,what you guys think?

sounds like the idea you got for a seat is based off the BOSS seats.
but you couold do a hood(anywhere from 150-500)-and their stronger.
plastic ski's-Best upgrade ive ever done
Boss seat or make youre own
drop the oil injectiion and mix-pull the oil tank and its hardware off.
Aftermarket Can
Port youre track
Plastic skid
all i can think of for now pick and choose what you wana do lightening a sled is pricy
Oh and a tunnel

the little bit of steel would way more than foam.

I can get you a light wieght brtech hood, they have one model for 109 dollars and you loose about 7 lbs. chrome moly front end parts, lite weight exhuast can. plastic skis are good for 12 lbs lost if you dont have them already

well i kinda wana keep my hood its custom,the seat thing is gna be like a freestyle seat.and can you give me info on the can and chrome moly parts.also whats porting your track?

you basicly cut holes in your track to save a lot of wieght... mainly mountain riders do it cut it saves a lot of rotating wieght
