alright now im picking up a 98 XC 700.
I need to get a pipe for it as the stock one is wrecked.
now im thinking about going to SLP twins or single.
along with the cheater heads
V-force 3 reeds
boost bottle
and some sort of airbox mod.

tell me what you guys think as for reliablitly im debating the twin and single pipe right now as i hear bad things about twin pipes.

Don't get pipes get the slp pipe and can combo. They are good sleds and when jetted right run great. A buddy of mine had/has PSI pipes on his 700 and they sound like crap, buddy also said these sleds can be finicky jetting wise at times also. Post pics when you get her home. Long live the white wedge sleds!

so just do the single pipe and can combo. by the way i like a good crack when i hit the throttle.

You will see a gain from the pipe and can not as much as pipes but it is noticeable. My uncles has buddys with xc 700 one with slp pipes and one with slp pipe and can, there is more power with the pipes but I think they sound like crap. Then I rode the one with slp pipe and can combo and felt and gain and the sound was awesome not to loud but great enough not to close trails. I'll see if I can find a video of some guy on you tube with a slp pipe and can comb then i'll post it here.
