I'm wondering if a primary clutch from a 1999 700 XC fit on my 2001 XC 700 SP. I need to know fast cuz the auction on ebay ends in 20 hours. Thanks a lot

Yes it will fit, a P85 has been the same since the early '90's not on the exact year but it will fit.

wrong,,,,Domestic engine clutches and Fuji clutches will not interchange....Thus different pullers. The answer to the initial question is yes but they have mislead you somewhat.

yes but as said. but there is a difference between the fugi and liberty motor clutches the taper on the crank is different on the fugis but this is from a liberty and yours is a liberty so it will fit.

And it will have to have the 2000 and up bolt also as the 98 and 99's have a different bolt, in 2000 they changed the bold thus needing the correct puller also when you need to take it off for service or cleaning.

It will not work because the 2001 engine has a larger bolt securing the clutch that WILL NOT fit through the center of the 97-99 big block clutches. You could put the newer clutch on an older engine though, all the tapers are the same.

Original OEm clutch for a '99 XC 700 is 2201887, which is super seeded by 1321928 now. You will need the clutch bolt 7517501
