looking to upgrade my pilots to C&A or Slydog. just wondering what people think of each. i do aggressive trail riding and some boondocking. also how much weight do you save on average. i think the C&A's are like 6.5lbs each, how much do the pilots weight?

go big or go home

I'm a fan of C&A skis. I upgraded to them on my ZR and never looked back. The improvement is was very substancial. The bite that they offered was awesome. Some people think the C&A's are too aggressive, but I think it's just a matter of sled setup. I also found they floated much better than my stock Cat skis, but then I went from a 5" ski to the 6" C&A.

That's my two-bits.

A mountain lion roaming the prairie found a bull, killed it and ate the entire bull. With a heavy belly, unable to walk, the lion laid in the tall grass moaning and roaring. Soon a hunter, attracted by the roaring, shot and killed the lion. Moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut!

I had a pair C&A's and i loved them, amazing bite.
Highly Recomend them.

My buddy has a set of Slydog Powderhounds on his Rev 440/800 and there are a amazing ski also.

Nice thing about slydog is there is alot of options with the colors on them.

I highly recomend both skis.

Both are a majorly huge improvement over stock.

Go with the SlyDogs, lighter and a much better design as they'll work with you instead of against you. C&A's bite too hard and can buck you off.

I absolutely love my SlyDogs. Amazing grip, flexibility, and floatation. They make carving almost too easy, even on hardpack. And as mentioned above its a big bonus being able to get them in nearly any color combo.
