the reason why i am going used and being a cheep ass is cuz its for my 1998 chevy blazer. it has a cherry bomb and it sounds horrible. basically like air is rushing out when the car is running witha load. and i really my wimpy car sonding better. if it was a nice car i would not do it this way and actually go new.

Do you have a fleet farm near you. I bought a small turbo muffler for my car from them for like 15$. Check your local parts stores for a turbo of some sort. I don't think you are going to find a used flowmaster, I would say that along with myself that those who have them are going to keep them.

lol i have a flowmaster on my 99 Blazer, sounds mellow. i got it off ebay,it was new and only used for mock up got it for 15 bucks + s/h.It has a 3" inlet and 3" outlet. It would be louder if you either gutted or removed the converters, but its illegal, and would cause the check engine light to come on.I did notice some gain, and gas mileage was slightly better, maybe 1/2 to 1 mile per gallon better. Dont expect it to be loud, like a flowmaster on a v8 pick up.

Super 40's aren't that loud on V8's either. Best way to go for good sound is the original 40's. If you buy 'em new they actually "break-in" so to speak. They definetely get louder after awhile. Although if I remember correctly they quite making them, I could be wrong in that though.

I have 2 original 40's sitting in the shop that I took off my car, but I'm keeping them for future use. I paid $90 for them and at that time that was a really good deal.
