Looking for any oppinions or advise!!

chassi- 1999 rmk 700 bulkhead and tunnel are in very good condition

engine- 98 xc w/ 220's lots of miles, brand new clutch, almond spring w/ 10-62's.

suspension

front- XC fox shocks, posability of xc radious rods to widen the front end so it will work well with the xc shocks.. but I dont know of the bushing on the rear of the trailing arm would bind up, or even if a 98 xc front suspension will bolt up (everything but the trailing arms)

rear- I could use any of these 97 x-10, 98 x-10, or a 99 x-10. the 97 seems to fade the rear shock faster then the 98, but I dont know how the 98 compairs to the 99. I have yet to try the 99 skid in a sled... any thoughts? all skids have fox shocks with relativley new charges

I will be running either a 121" track (have yet to get one if I take that route) or I could use either of my 136" tracks in 1.75" or 2" lug. keep in mind I will be using this sled for trail/river/lake with the very occasional swamp. I ran a 136"/1.75 track for years on my "in between" sled and liked it very well. but now that I have two sleds (extending my other rmk to 144) so I am considering going to a 121 and selling my 136"s rail extentions ect.

Here's pictures from the day I picked it up, I have not gotten as much as I liked to get done sence I have spent more time taring my other sled apart then building this one... haha
how I got it

front shocks, new bushings, ski's.

also I just figured I would throw this out there, Im going with a black/blue skiem(sp?) with this sled, sence the other rmk is black/red... figured they should make a good pair!

98.5 rmk/xc- 99 rmk bulkhead/tunnel, 99 xtra-10 with ad boivin ETS, xc fox shocks in front, fox shocks rear, 98 700 w/ 220's, 121/1" track, 3" riser, skid plate, 41/21
99 rmk7- 136/2" track, SLP boost bottle, SLP can, 5" fly risers w/ all the goodies, xc front fox shocks, fox shocks in rear, 98 seat, skid plate, 41/21, all black

SCHEME

I say go with the 136. When your going down the trail, you never know what you could run into.

I'd also say a shock rebuild if there not new.

Maybe a set of risers and aftermarket bars?

Its what cylinders the engine has, they will be either 220's or 824's. 220's were 97-early 98 sleds which were replaced by the 824's. the 220's have more torque and are more desireable. you can tell what you have by looking at the last 3 numbers at the base of the cylinder right behind the primary clutch.

All my shocks have fresh rebuilds and I'll be running a set of 3" risers with stock bars for now.
