Does anyone know where I can find the torques specs for a 2001 polaris xc 700 sp? I don't have a manula for my sled and want to know if there is a website that you can go to to find them. Thanks a lot.

Start tightening it until it gets hard, then 1/4-1/2 a turn tighter. Seems to always work for me.

^ Ok throw that statement right out the window. Anyone who has ever done spark plugs on a 5.4L Ford can attest to just how important torques specs are. Which is suprising that ^ doesn't know that based on his wealth of modular Ford knowledge. I know its apples and oranges but its just an example of how important torque specs are.

I got these off SF last fall. They are for my 98 xc700. I dont know if they are the ones you want though....

Head bolts: 22 ft lbs
Base nuts: 34 ft lbs
Exhaust nuts: 17 ft lbs

Hope this helps. Also, you should be able to calla dealer and get whatever spec you need, I would think anyway.

Good luck

I fix it nice, cause I fix it twice!

yup torque specs are very important exspecaly on heads, i tightend the head on my truck to what i thought it should be and the next thing i know is it warped on me.
i also work on a lot of compaction equipment if its not tight enough it falls apart and if its too tight it breaks.

If you can't fix it then get a bigger hammer
