I'm getting more and more interested in building a watercross sled. Would lower/narrow the front end, seal it up and what not. But I'm not sure where to start. I know there are a few guys on here who have built full out watercross sleds, but I can't find any topics on this. Any body here have any tips for building one? Mostly neeed help with the front end, like what shocks to use, (need to be quite short) And how to narrow the ski stance to about 36". I would love to be able to sled in the summer too, plus water cross is just so much fun. Would be building something like this. Would be a water only sled.

It depends on what sled you start out with. I forgot who showed me how to do it but its really easy with a wedge style polaris to suck up the front suspension. There is no need to worry about shocks in the front, you don't need them. Basically any sled can be set up for it, granted it has enough power. I personally wouldn't go lower than a 500. It also depends on if you want to race or not, to be competitive you would probably have to do some motor mods.

short front shocks
1.75ish lug seems to be what a lot or racers use
