want to polish the tunnel on my sled. need to know what r some good polishers and how do i go about actually polishing it . thanks in advance

go with mothers aluminum and mag polishers. pick it up at walmart for a few bucks. take some steel wool, dab it in and make circles on the tunnel. when the black residue appears, wipe it off with another clean rag, and your done.


ps. scrub hard with steel wool. and everytime you polish it it gets shinier

yes, mothers is a good piloish... i use the mothers powerball mini on my drill to polish.

powdermadd440 - does the steel wool scratch it at all? ive never heard of using it.

First if your tunnel is black you will need to strip it before polishing it. Use Aircraft stripper, you can get it at walmart. I used it on my handlebar clamps on my motorcycle and it takes the factory powder coat right off. Follow the directions and you will be good, wear gloves also the stuff burns a little if you get it on you.
