Took the sleds out here in central WA at French Cabin Creek near Salmon la sac on saturday. Still lots of snow up high as you can see. It was good riding as it had been cold enough during the night the underlayer was firm and the upper 3-4 " was soft.

Yeah, we have had a great year and even as it gets warm there is so much snow its like the middle of winter when you get up to elevation. We are probably at 4k elevation here. Good thing it was warm though, we got almost to where we were going trailering the sleds and my son noticed he didnt bring his boots. So we decided we would take it easy and he would ride with his sneakers on. It was in the 50s so he was fine.

I took the old 370 fan up outta Blewett on sunday and rode snirt for several miles, but got up little past Haney meadows and it was nice for spring. Do you go outta Chelan a lot? Is Gold creek still ridable?

600RMK, Yes, I live at Hyak and Gold Creek is still ridable, same with Crystal Springs, still lots of snow and they are predicting 2-4 inches tonight. I have been debating bringing out some of my vintage stuff but its been so soft I figured the little paddles on those tracks would be sliding all over. I have never been out of Chelan, next year I want to ride that area and over by Leavenworth. How was the lower part of the trail from Blewett Pass to Haney? I have been wanting to get up to the Haney Mdw area to check on a mining claim I have up there.

Definatly don't want to take any sled you value up there. I took my old 370 and was fine, but I did see bout two people turn around cause of heating. I would never take my rmk up there now. Lots of dirt spots and snow was minimal till past haney. As far as chelan its a great area, however its been discovered. In Antalon snow park there were round 60 trailers once! Never went there again. Echo works pretty good, but small, black canyon is my favorite though. If you get there round 7-8 in the morning you will be fine though.
