I am 310 lbs. I have been looking at my rear shocks and I have it on the highest setting. What is confusing to me is that under the hood of my Storm it has a weight chart and the max weight is 250 lbs, and it says to put it at the medium setting. What setting should I put it to for my weight? I was going to just buy a new rear skid, but funds are very limited right now. Thank you in advance for your guys help.

ive always judge the spring adjustments on how it rides... bottoming out raise them... bouncing up in the air loosen them un... its a 1min adjustment and easy to do on the trail....

At 310 the stock springs are to soft, add that to the fact that 10 year old springs don't hold what they used to. You need to replace the springs and go up 1 size along with a shock rebuild.

What kind of springs do you suggest? Also by going up one size I will be alright?

^ Jb's right. Your current springs are sacked and they are probably underated for your weight. They make 3 sets. Medium is standard. You might try the square springs out of later XC if you find them cheap or you can anti up for a new set of heavy duty springs which are not exactly cheap as I recall. The dealer will know what your talking about and once in a while you see them on e-bay. You can also try tightening up your front track shock if its adjustable but its going to make it ride extremely rough.

How much is a large set of springs? Where can I find them? Are the XC ones worth trying to find over a large set?
