Got this 340 TNT off the local Kijiji classifieds tonight for free. It's in really good shape but is only firing on one side. Hopefully I'll get a chance to do a bit of troubleshooting tomorrow.

Looked at it this morning and there is no fire coming to the coil on the recoil side. I was hoping it was the coil itself but no such luck. Hopefully it's just the points gapped wrong or something else simple.

Change the points AND condenser.
The old Rotax motors were known for eating condenser's.
Been there, done that many times.
BTW, great find.

Probably is the condensor. I had to replace the condensor in my 340 Futura at the beginning of the season. The guy said he already replaced it and there's solder everywhere but I can't imagine him doing too good of a job with the motor still on the skidoo. The splatter makes me think he used a torch when he did it.
