The individual filters dont really do that much for you. Also when you buy a K&N filter you are paying mostly for the name. K&Ns dont filter that well either, you would probably be sucking hot air belt dust into your crank. SLP makes air box mods and they supply you with all the instructions youll need, like installation and rejetting. Youll prob gain a couple ponies too.

I fix it nice, cause I fix it twice!

Are you think of getting rid of your airbox and just having filters on the carbs? If so, thats actually going to make your engine make slightly less hp because it will be sucking in warm air from under the hood instead of pulling cool air from the outside, through the airbox and into the engine.

'01 Polaris Indy 600 XC SP EDGE X
4 1/2" Powermadd articulating bar riser, Pro-X seat, Pure Polaris handguards with Pure Polaris handguard mounts, red Cobra low sno-x windshield, almond/blue primary spring with 10-60 weights and 121" x 15" x .91 track with 96 studs.
7,100 miles on the odometer.

i was just wondering i dont really need any more ponies the motors ported, psi pipes, hot seat heads, the air box is gutted out, it makes plenty of ponies and it has a 136x1.75 track, i was just wondering always wanted to know was thinking to do to my stock xlt, is the slp air box worth it with a stock motor? i have a dg can on it but thats it.

ive heard very good things about the slp airbox. the nice things about the pod filters is they same room and the look nice... as for brand.. your paying for the name... if you buying them for an xlt go with the spi ones there like 20 bucks a piece new.. cant beat it... but make sure you get pre-filters also to keep the water out.. an aditional 20 buck per filter so a total of 120 dollar...
