Hey everyone,
Well my hood is on hold as is the suspension for now because my suspension and track got sold out from under me. Well I got a Pm today about an xtra 10 rear suspension. I know it will fir with a bit of drill and such, but can I leave the front hole the way it is and just move my rear mounting point around a little bit?

Thanks, Ryan

I moved my front and rear holes, but my results were far from good. I have no traction anymore, and my sled trenches like crazy in deep snow. You better get in contact with people that know what they're doing on this swap subject. JBShocks on here has a website that gives mounting locations for the xtra10. I think it is important to tell specifically what sled you're putting it into, and specifically the sled that the skid is out of. Then someone should be able to help you. I'm still struggling to get my project up to snuff. Yeah, it's nice to have some suspension travel, but it sure sucks having it handle like crap in deep snow. Good luck!

Follow measurements on JB shocks site. Others have tried using stock front hole and suspension won't work correctly. Why do it twice?

I did my swap last summer (I love the results) I used the directions I found from JB's post and everything went great.
I had to relocate the rear mounting plate but the new location for the front holes stayed within the original mounting plates, so all I did was drill the holes and it bolted right up. I think the rule of thumb is to match the mounting holes to the locations of the donor sled. i.e. I put a 97 ultra X10 into a 90 Indy so the new holes match the ultra locations. It's really a relatively easy proceedure and is worth doing. But do right the first time so you don't get discouraged. Good luck and have fun

As stated rule of thumb is to match the donor sled but there are cases where that won't work. If it is polaris to polaris and just one generation jump the specs as stated have always worked good.
