Well Im thinking bout gettin a new sled.I found this one not far from me.06 Switchback 600ho with the racer paint scheme.its a 144 x 1.25 track.around 500 miles on it, it was a demo. their asking 6900.00, that seems high IMO,and was wondering if I should try to find a 136 Switchback, and how much of a difference in the uncoupled 144 is on the trails? and if ya think 6900 is too high. Id rather have an FST switchback but I cant find one local yet.One more question, i know the sled has the same tunnel as a 151 rmk and the flap is a ways away from the track, and wondering if there are any cooling issues or hyfax problems cuz it looks like all the snow would go out the back and not get scaveneged up and in the tunnel. Thanks for any responses.

*98 XC600 and some RMK add ons
*98 XCR440 and some SKS add ons
*Some old 70s Chappral Firebird with a 1 lunger Fuji,15mph downhill on ice with a 14 mph tailwind,AND ITS FOR SALE FOR SALE!!!

I think $6,900 is way too much money for that sled. Im sure that sled was over $10,000 when it was new, but you also gotta consider that its pretty much 3 years old.
I personally wouldnt pay over $5,500 for that sled.

That is one of the best looking sleds imo. I know a guy with a 144 switchback and he really likes it. Id offer em $5500 for it as it will be soon 3 years old.

1st of all the real weight of the xp is 439.
2nd it is how the engine makes the hp through out the rpm range.
3rd the Dragon 800sp has the Ripsaw track 1.25.
4th ,you have no idea of what you are talking about.
5th get the F-CK out and stop bashing.
6th your Mach z 1000 is a chit box.

I may be a retard, but I'm the smartest one I know.

Around here that would be a killer deal. But I guess your market just sucks in the US as far as sled prices.

$6900 for a 2 year old demo? I don't think so. You can pick up barely used '06 700's for 3-5K. Fix the few little issues they have(clutch alignment and cooling) and you will have a rock solid, fast, and great handling sled. My dad has an '06 700rmk and i love it, handles awesome and lots of power.

As far as the FST goes, well I hope you don't venture off trail. I have ridden one a few times and IMO the only reason I'd ever have one is for trail riding. Way too heavy, its very hard to carve with because it either wants to stay level or be completely on its side, no in between. It does have 140HP+ I can vouch for that because they are quick.

$6k tops if it comes with a full warrantee, demo sleds usually do. That 600 is way better than a 700 of the same year, the 600engine is rock solid reliable. The 700 can be made better, but it still has its quirks and is still heavier. You can buy used privately for cheaper but no warrantee.
The 144" suspension is better than the coupled 136" and has better floatation. That extra 3.75" of track on the ground does wonders, believe me.
