dont know what you could find a 98 700 twin for.
but a 98 700 twin with stock single pipe would be better than sticking a bunch of money in the xlt engine.

you can get the xlt engine to run with a 700, but, no matter how much money you stick into it, its only going to be worth 100-200 dollars. so why spend the money?

The new crank will add very little value to the sled. The top end maybe a bit but only to someone who is looking for something like that and that market would be very small. I've done 'some' (or I should say Madcow has) work to my xlt motor but in the end it's worth no more really then a stock sled of same condition and miles.

Plus, you are still stuck in the wedge chasis. You've spent $500 plus already on the xlt motor and may spend another $xxx on a new motor. I serious question has to be asked if that money would be better spent towards a 700 edge or fusion. This is the question I ask my self every fall. It's a tough one.

i would love to spend the cash but my age and credit holds me back with thatm,so best idea is to just keep it the triple?
