What kind of mods are you thinking? Cosmetic or performance?
Being a fan cooled sled, there's not really much you can do performance wise. A good clutch setup will help you maximize your performance.
Skis are also a good upgrade in some cases...a better bite and more floatation can usually be achieved.
The cosmetic world is seemingly endless. Different windshields, add/remove graphics, lightshields, handguards, etc.
...all a matter of what you'd like to achieve...

i was just thinking mods for better comfort and cosmetic
was more or less thinking stuff like bar risers, skis, maybe a track with a little bigger lug and better pattern
if i were to do risers i only want a 2-3 inch cause i really dont wanna hafta change/extend brake lines, throttle cable or any of my handwarmer and kill switch wires...im not the best mechanic in the world

A bar riser is a great investment. I had a 3" on my '98 ZR 600 in the past...it was a huge upgrade from the stock height. Probably one of the first things I would purchase for most sleds.

Change the track to a 1 or 1.25" lug ripsaw or shotgun. No need for studs in these unless you are doing a lot of ice running. Either plastic skis or skins and 6" carbides. Riser if you must. Change the color of the idler wheels. (maybe) Clutch tweaking is a must and possibly gearing as well.

Handle bar riser are great. Hey another good little mods for those ZR chassies are running board grips. I was slipping to much on mine, and the grips made it 100X better.
