What's the diffeerence between high and low tension reeds?

From what I understand low tension reeds increase the bottom end power and higher tensions increase higher rpm power and Im sure there are some that fall some where between the two.

Alright, so if I want tons of torque, and arent really looking for tons of hp, so I can just get off the line fast, I should go with low tension, correct?

Already been lower geared. Whatever was stock on the bottom, and then put a 22 up top, and a clutch kit is in order very soon.
