Has your lake been closed too? It is going to be a mad house here. The 4th is always nutz and now add in a lake that just opened and a long weekend.

Heading out to South Dakota for some p'dog shooting. Leaving right after work tomorrow and comming back next wednesday. I am so looking forward to it.
Where at? Near Wall I'm guessing? You'll drive right by me(pretty much).
We stay at a friends place in Timber Lake, it's about 140 miles north of Murdo. I was in Wall a couple of years ago. We spent the night there on our way out to visit my sister.

Obviously I don't celebrate the 4th of July, but for Canada day yesterday, I helped my buddy move to his new house. It was only like 90 degrees outside and 90ish percent humidity.
I was so beat by the end of the day I couldn't even drink beer. Pretty sad. Went to bed at like 11. :\
Every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. That means every day you see me, that's the worst day of my life.

Owning a race sled is like having a totally hot girlfriend..... All of your friends want to see it, feel it and check it out..... They all want to know what it is like to ride it, but if they only knew how much time and money it takes to keep one up, they would call you a fool!

I never understood boxing day, but it's in winter which for me makes no difference anyway
As for holidays in the summer, yesterday had I not made the commitment to help my friend, I probably would have been out spraying soybeans, so either way I was working. Typically if the weather is good, we don't care about holidays on the ol farm!

Just put new rear brake drums and brakes on the car. I decided to head to my home town and cut wood with my chainsaw for a few days to prepare for winter. I will go back and get it later in the summer with a huge trailer. 6000+ lbs for 4 hours down the expressway hah.

Have about 500 yards of sand to add to the 300 yards we have already hauled to back fill a basement. Not looking forward to this project at all.
Going to be hot and the truck I'm driving has no A.C.
After that it will be Windsor time.

Putting a new water pump in the van, getting started on retracking the sled, and keeping an eye on the dog's.
Then 3 lbs of crab leg's and a 12 pack of MGD light.

Unfourtunately, the lake was surprisingly infested with DNR, had the RMK all ready to go but didn't get to go out and try it. The fine is 1,000 dollars and to make it worse they take your sled, confiscate it and re-sell it.

I started off by going to a Johnny Holm concert "party on the prarie" which had a huge turnout. On the 4th a bunch of us went down to the river "around 100 total there" and sat up to our knees in water and drank beer and had a good time,we even had a beer pong table out in the water. That night a few of us went the the fireworks show at the state capital which was pretty sweet. Then today me and my brother and a friend went in the boat fishing most the day and I got sunburned pretty good, ended up with our limit in walley though. Was a good weekend overall.
