i want to buy a edge,sno pro or rev and just find anymotor.
can i just put any motor in a sled or does it have to be the actual motor?

With time, money, skill etc. You can put any motor in any sled.. Altho you would be better off looking for an engine that will bolt up and be raedy to go.. You can get a larger engine that will bolt right up in most cases with little to no modifications..

you can. but it costs money. any motor will do, its a matter of your budget and time
