Yeah it'll be interesting to see how the seat plastic holds up for the winter. I'm expecting it to do poorly considering how much has already cracked and chipped just from moving it around the shop.
I got my clutch spring ordered today, going tomorrow to pick up a hose clamp for my fuel line and get antifreeze. Should be getting it started around Thanksgiving!

Looks pretty sweet. I like the black and white better than the blue.

Update 12/1/08
THE SLED RUNS!!
The night before Thanksgiving a friend of mine and myself were workin on the sled getting the last few bits wrapped up. Got fuel in the tank and all oil and fuel lines double checked to make sure that they were hooked up correctly. Primed the pumps and the motor fired on the second pull! Man was I excited. It took a little while to get the coolant to fully cycle through and get all the air bubbles out but once that was taken care of everything ran smoothly. The exhaust sounds great! I haven't had it out to ride yet since there is no snow, but just at 4000RPMs before the clutch engages it sings a pretty sweet song, can't wait to hear what it sounds like at 8500!! After we cleaned up a bit we had a few beers in celebration of all the hours and late nights I've spent on this thing. I don't have any new pictures yet, but the sled is finally all back assembled, I'm going to pick up my secondary helix and spring and hopefully get that all wrapped up next weekend and then it will be ready for the season

Yeah MNSLEDNECK your right 8500 is a lil high. I have no idea what it will pull with my clutching setup, time will tell and I'll adjust it once the snow flies.
When it first fired up, I was like a proud parent watching a child being born haha

8200 tops, probably pull 58 or 60 and maybe 62's. All depends on how close you are on jetting. I have tried lots of different primary settings once you get to that let me know!

good to hear you got it running. Is that a fusion pipe cut to fit the chassis?
I think my clutching is somewhere around 8000-8100 with an almond red spring and 10-62's.

I've got a almond/red spring with 10-60s in it right now. And I'm running 400 main jets.
I'm not exactly what pipe that is cut to fit it, but it was the pipe that Erick was running on his so I'm very confident in it.

Is it just 1 mount that broke? A welding shop should be able to get that streightened out for you fairly easy. Looks good otherwise!

^^Yep it is just one mount that broke. I'm planning on taking it in this summer and getting that fixed at the welding shop back home, but I'm out at college now and have absolutely no money so the sled is done for the season.
