If you see a cake with a fork in it do you assume that the cake was cooked with the fork in it?

A few weeks back I was traversing one of our Quarries and failed to realize that the area I was about to drive onto was not as firm as the rest of the quarry floor. IT turns out that the area I drove into was once the drainage area for our "wet" sand plant. This plant is no longer in use as we run "Dry" plants now to produce asphalt sand thus providing the illusion of solid ground. Funny thing is I am the companies assistant safety director and the gentlemen that was riding with me was our insurance carriers IH specialist!

stuck!

How come we didn't see an Oldcastle Safety Memo about that incident? They should have some cones and a sign there.
Just picking on you a little - stuff happens.
