- Found an unreal deal on a mini cooper, emailed the guy, here's what says...

Hey I found this 02 mini cooper in the auto trader, and most mini coopers in around this year sell for around $10,000-25,000. This one was listed at $4,900. Has some performance kit on it and what not, looks killer. So I email him to see if that price is for real, here's the email I get back from him. What do you think? spammer? Link to the add.

First of all I want to tell you that whoever is lucky enough to buy it, is getting an exquisite car with proper care and maintenance. This is in Very Good Condition. The car had a complete annual service. It is absolutely turn-key and Runs like a dream. I have all the Manuals, 3 Spare Keys and the clear title including legal document by which I can transfer the title to your name. The car's exterior is in perfect condition with no scratches and no faded color. I am looking to sell it right away for $4,900. Sorry but NO pick up, only delivery for $0.3 per loaded mile and I will support 40% from the shipping fees. I am not able to close or to complete this deal in person untill 22 Dec. 'cause I'm in USA at my old place (i have work to do here, sell my house and everything else arround here). You have to know that we will close this deal through SafePay. anytime shipping a car it is 99.9% scam if you look and craig list it says in huge font that 100% of adds with shipping of cars are scam.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I emailed him again saying it sounds like a BS add. Also asked if a friend in Calgary can come take a look for me.And I asked for more pics, just to prove he even has a car to sell. If there's any chance it's not a scam, he'll prove it.

i got an email similar to this a few weeks ago about my sled. and when i emailed him back asking him if my sled was a twin or a triple and told i thaugth it was a scam i never herd from him again.

i dont know, the no pickup and doesnt wanna deal in person stuff makes it a scam to me. to good to be true.

i have run into A LOT of ads like this on kijjiji (sp?) they al have sob stories to go along with why they are selling their car. Like i had found a 1998 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo with 17,000M on it for 4,800. i emailed the person and they said the were in a motorcycle accident and were paralysed, and since the car was given to them in a divorce settlement she wanted to get rid of it. wanted to ship it from california to here using that eBay safe sale thing and said she would pay the shipping.

its a tough call for me u don;t usually find scammers in the canada trader. but pay pal is not really the proper way to pay for a vehicle.
i ride where its steep n' deep :P

That is 100% why I thought it might still be real. You never see scammers in the trader.
Here's the second email from him.
