i just put the 719 helix in my 05 900 and can't get over 90 mph out of it, the springs and weights are all stock. i do have the reflash done. Should i use weights or a primary spring to raise the rpms, and why?
yes need to add wieght and new spring
Won,t new weights give more rpm's and change engagement rpm's? wouldn't just a higher finish rate on the spring push my r's back up?

Try just adding the Almond spring,Should be good but if you feel you need more then go up to 76-78 gram weights.

does anyone know if IQr vents will fit on the fusion. They look very close by picture if not any other ideas. I would like to get some if they do because i had problems wiht the fluffy snow getting into the air intake
1st of all the real weight of the xp is 439.
2nd it is how the engine makes the hp through out the rpm range.
3rd the Dragon 800sp has the Ripsaw track 1.25.
4th ,you have no idea of what you are talking about.
5th get the F-CK out and stop bashing.
6th your Mach z 1000 is a chit box.
I may be a retard, but I'm the smartest one I know.

I am going to look at an 05 900 fusion on saturday. I've read through this entire thread and hopefully with the knowledge on this board I won't be dissapointed in my decision.
I've never owned a sled before but I had been thinking about it for a while and then I saw someone selling this fusion for what appears to be a good deal. can someone reccomend a polaris dealer that would be familiar with doing some of the mods that the 900 fusion needs to be a dependable sled either near the north shore of massachusetts(01970 zip) or near dexter maine 04930.
also, Im pretty sure the sled is all stock right now so if i do buy it i am going to take it to a dealer for a good looking at.
what are some things I should change out right away?
from reading the thread I am guessing the clutch and the cooling mods.
thanks for the help

If you call a Polaris dealer with your vin they can tell you if the updates were done. The dealers enter the stuff, or at least they should, that was done to the sled under the recalls. I believe they are required to do the updates at no charge. That is the factory recall type stuff. Some of the stuff you see on here are things that people have done to further enhance performance. You might have noticed that some stuff works for one but not another. The riding style and results expected can determine whether or not a mod is going to actually "work".

I ended up buying the sled and I brought it up to the camp this thursday. luckily it snowed just enough overnight for a test run friday morning on the lake. Damn this sled really moves!! I had it up to 87MPH before I chickened out and got off the gas. I haven't really ridden it all that much yet but so far i'm happy with the purchase.

No, I had over 6100 miles on mine before I replaced with the '06 pistons just for maintenance sake... still looked great.
Old '05 piston still had a lot of life in it.
 New '06 piston
