Ok..Goin' to the sled show this weekend, gettin' the DYNOPORT "Y" and pipe/can got the VForce III's 2 days ago. Now sold my airbox (stock) Timbersled should be there to pick up a air system, if not then a DYNOPORT clutch. From what I've read in this thread I don't need to flash except peoples eyes as I fly by right?
Any helpful hints would be really cool!
Thanx,
Redd

anyone have an issue with the clutch sticking? engine idles down but clutch is still grabbing the belt. I am thinking a weight or 2 is sticking. It's a buddies(600 ho) so, I havn't looked at it yet. It only does in in the morning, usually after warming the track/belt up. It will do like 10 mph????

Hello. I apologize if this has been asked before, but I could not find anything regarding this. I have a 2005 Fusion 900 with over 2800 miles. I got at the end of last season and it ran fine. It needs the chain case service bulletin, but all others have been done. It also smokes a lot. And oil drips from the exhaust outlet onto the ground. Does anyone have any idea what could be happening with the oil issue? Thanks!

I just bought my fusion 700 this past summer and haven't had a chance yet to ride it. It's a brand new left over with a years warranty left on it. I have upgraded a few things.

First major thing I had to do was to get the stock air box off it, so I went the SLP route. I also added the SLP hot air eliminater kit.

I have also removed the stock muffler and put an MBRP can on it. I would like to get a Y pipe and pipe for it, but wait to install it until after the warranty is up, there is a Dynoport kit that comes just the pipe and Y pipe. Should this work with my MBRP can? and the SLP air box?

This sled might also end up in the mountains at some point so I have added a Tracks USA kit and an 1.5 inch track for now, but have a 2 inch paddle track as well. Need something different for skis that will remove some of the ski pressure and increase floatation, should I go with a stock ski like a Gripper or an aftermarket like a powder hound?

Chain case issue is to keep it from worpping, they put some larger type washer/braces on the outside of cover. Oil dripping might be too much oil being injected, check yer injection cable and make sure it is working properly or even at all...clutch dust likes to find it's way there. If you read through this thread you'll find out all about it.

Oil pump spring/cables stick when dirty and don't go down all the way with the throttle, Look inbetween exhaust ports, in y-pipe with flashlight and see if pump spring closes all the way.

congrats,
The slp air kit seems to be better than my T/S kit and I am thinking of switching now. I may still just mod my T/S intake though. The Obamany is killing the avalability of funds.

Rich was pretty avid about NOT using the Timber and he said "Quote" "Tell them guys that you know too" He said the stock airbox performs better than Timber do to the fact of sucking cold air and baffles inside the stock airbox, but is heavy and keeps the cold air out and hot in the engine compartment. He also said that Slp works but it's a must to protect it from the pipe (heat). I'll be talking to him on Tues. he didn't have my "Y" pipe and he shot me a smokin' deal on everthing else and said he would mail it to me free. He also said that just one of his cans will not produce hp's just sound, unless you get the whole package.
My friend Tom has a 700 Fusion and was going to buy a can and he said that would be a waste with just the can spend your money wisely. Tom and I thought that was pretty straight up guy when he could have lied and just sold it to make a sale.
Could anyone find a SLP airbox pic installed or know someone to post some install info or time factors on it?

Yeah, he had it there, the guy is really laid back for what he does. I think that sled was a whole 1.5 tall and about 10 long if not longer!

Thanx, that helps alot, now heres one for you.......a pic of one installed, does it grab the air from the nose vents? I see they say that the pipe clearence should be 1/8 inch looks like some heat reflecto' tape may be needed!

Went to pull my secondary cluth off lastnight and it has back and forth play, I know I should have a manual, but it seems on this site the respose time is faster, I have about 1/8 inch, mabe a hair more. Is that normal? I do have reverse/ no elec. start.

That is normal. Just make sure when you remove it, not to lose any of the washers/spacers on the shaft.

Thanks for the help. I tried looking quickly tonight, but could not see the spring you mentioned. I see a tube between the engine cylinders (covered with heat resistant tape or something) that clamps below the exhaust y-pipe. I can't locate a cable other than the throttle cable. Is there a picture located somewhere or engine diagram that would help me?

Thank you!

Pull 'em out and spray some oven cleaner on them, (not the bellows) and let sit for a few mins. the spray off with carb clean rub stubborn areas with scotch bright. Just did mine and all I need was oven cleaner and carb clean and paper towel to shine up! Buy a gasket set approx. 6 bucks and reinstall!
