I was wondering how tall of a riser i could use with the 2000 supersport, without having to go with longer brake/throttle lines.

thanks

Go pull of your clamps and find out yourself and stop wasting bandwith, you make raising bars sound so hard, go check for yourself, YOUR THE ONE WITH THE SLED.

i actually have checked multiple times...

If you trust ohters word your going to run into problems. unbolt them and lift them up. and make sure you leave some slack so your throttle doesnt stick when you turn. A buddy of mine this last winter had a pinch when he turned sharp and hit a curb sideways and snaped the spindle and bent the lower a arm.

You can be a little bit nicer about it man, maybe its just something he didn't think of. But yeah like he said, unbolt the bars and just rise them till they cant do anymore and go from there. If your not satisfied with the height then your going to have tobuy extentions.

Ok, thanks guys!
Never actually though of that.
Any idea of how to remove the stupid plastic cover over the bars?(I wanna keep it)

(And the reason i want risers is that i like to stand up when i ride, and being 6'5" its kinda tough)

No because anytime someone posts something that you already know or think they should know, you jump all over them thinking you are Einstein. Sad.

Post up 3 other threads where thats happened?

Seriously, im not trying to be an ass, but I just posted a link with 40+ pages of riser information, and I searched one word. Its annoying to come back to the forum every night and have 3 of these threads, its not that hard, come on.

And then, they thinks its ok, because joe asked how to do it on his arctic cat, so John can ask, even though well tell him the same thing, check for yourself.

And thank you for being an ass, And posting NO helpful information... :(

Wow,
I can't believe the crap you guys are giving this guy.
He asked a simple question and I see LOTS of responses, and very little help.
The un bolting and lifting method mentioned above works, but it got poluted with so many personal attacs that it's not funny.
Grow up people, you KNOW if it's you I'm talking to.

Now the question at hand

3" is about it with your stock set up.
Make sure you raise them straight up, and not at the angle of your steering post because that pushes you to the back of the machine where it doesn't handle.

Do the un bolt and check thing, make sure it will work when you are fully turned right and left.
Your model does have the cable and brake line for 3" with no problem, but that's about the end with out extending.

You can get good angled risers at www.gravityworxracing.com

You can go about 3 inches, on your stock throttle cable. About five inches on the other wires and brake line.
