Oh you got to.

If you make the hike up there.. I will make the 4 hr hike over there also.

I need to get working on my sled. It wouldn't start when I tried yesterday and I KNOW I have crap idler wheels that need replacement bearings put in them. Oh well.. that is just a weekend. I need new gears and chain also.. got the bottom gear and chain.. now just need the 23t hyvo.. switching everything to hyvo of course..

Hopefully we will have adequate snow this year. It should be a fun ride. I'm supposed to have a baseball boosters fund raiser on January 31st, but if it snows, i'm out. Does the head coach really need to be there???? ha

Does anybody have a list of hotels for those of us that will need a place to stay? Maybe we can all try to get rooms at the same place...

Webbs is right in mayville. They have parking and trail access. Here is a link for our snowmobile club that lists other accommodations.

I think we're going to go for The Snow Ridge Motel. Heard good things about that place last year. And it's only $70/night for a room.

I can check with them on what is available and post up the details. Guess people could choose between Webbs & Snowridge...

Lets keep it early Feb. The trails should be frozen by then and I'll be riding by then. I'm gonna be on the shelf for a month or so with surgery.

^ Forget that man. Way to many people go thru that lake every year. Between the pressure cracks, streams, and springs, that is a stupid lake to ride on IMO.

I remember riding to the springs back in the day.. by toms tavern, then going to Midway, looking across the lake. People would ride thru 1 foot of slush FAST to hit the ice.. stupid stupid. A week later a kid died not far from there. Needless to say I turned around!

I take every precaution before i go riding on the lake.I talk to 3 different bars along the lake.(In mayville, toms tavern, lakewood rod and gun club)And if theres 8inches or more id ride it. I also talk to ice fisherman to see how thick it is and i talk to people comming off of the lake to see how the ice is.(slushy, snow, bare ice)And i talk to a guy that rides the lake just to get out of his house to the trails.
