IMHO I think the M7 is just as good as the M8 in both power and handeling and alot cheaper. I have riden both in the MTNs and was not impressed with the M8 at all. The CFI 700 RMK could easly pull away from the M8 in a streight run.

You mustve had a poor running M8. My M7 runs real strong and my buddies M8 is way better. He cant get that thing stuck and his riding skill leaves a lot to be desired.
$8500 seems pretty high for a sled with 4000kms on it.

Quinlan is a little disappointed that he received HMK Highmark 4 boots instead of the Highmark Pros as he had anticipated...

I've ridden an '07 M8 as well as an '08. Both felt like dogs...

A mountain lion roaming the prairie found a bull, killed it and ate the entire bull. With a heavy belly, unable to walk, the lion laid in the tall grass moaning and roaring. Soon a hunter, attracted by the roaring, shot and killed the lion.

The M8 did not live up to what it should have. Way too much for that many miles as well. Great sled otherwise, just did not float my boat when comparing to the 800CFI and the 800R
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers. Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other soldier. Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some. Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow. Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country. Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor. 8500 is DAMN expensive for 4k on it. I see m7's and m8's go for 4500-6500 on craigslist depending on mileages and mods.

Thats a pretty crappy stuck. Either that M8 is a dog, or that rider wasnt paying attention.

Every magazine I ready I hear about cat's 2 stroke not having the balls of the other manufacturers 2s and it is kind of pissing me off. Cat worked on the 4 stroke for the last 3 years, now they need to take the 2 stroke and make that a better, more powerful engine because you can work on the chassis all you want, but in the end you need a good motor too.
