in my opinion, obama is what we need... change. someone brought up earlier that 221 were killed in iraq and 296 (?) have been murdered in chicago this year... isnt that telling us anything? to me it screams "time to leave, and concentrate on ourselves for awhile".
so if anyone says that this is wrong, its just my opinion.
i voted obama 08 and im glad he won.

I agree with Festus. Obama would love to ban assault weapons and semi autos. We dont own any assault weapons yet, but i would love to have a M1 Garand(sp?). Which he wants included in the ban. But i would say 40% of our guns are semi autos. Most of our shotguns, a few pistols, and all of our rifles except for the Henry i got when i was 8. Im afraid that he will try to take them from me. If he does, i would say my dad will A. fight back, or B. leave the country.
As for the war, we couldnt have avoided it, and we cant leave. If we leave now, they will fall apart and be the same way when we first arrived. So all the money and people who gave their lifes for, and people bitched about, will be gone. We cant just "pull out". We need to finish the mission, or stay there until its finished. But the good thing about gang violence towards other gangs, for every gang member that gets killed, thats one less on the streets.

Adding to what Festus was saying, if you handle and treat firearms with respect, they can be pretty fun to shoot. I have a Marlin-Winchester 30-30 lever and a Mossberg 20gauge bolt. I also hope I would never have to use my guns in self defense. It sure is fun to shoot at water jugs. Especially when they explode.

He was in the Senate fo r1 year. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have been in there a long time. There is no way they are gonna let Obama tell them what to do. They will be the ones makin all the rules and will do whatever they want.

I agree with what polariskid said all those people who died their their lifes would be invain because iraq would just be taken over by some Dictator again and we will be doing the same thing over again. We invaded Iraq back in Dessert Storm, then we left too early and guess what we came back again.
