A 200" base doesn't sound like a record. I'd have to say it's way deeper than that. Escpecially in the coastal mountains which get heavy wet snow all the time.
...or are you saying 24 feet in one snowfall? That sounds like too much in one snowfall.

Damn, 1,140" or 95' on Mount Baker in one season, for sure will need a deep powder sled for that.
-To ride or not to ride, what a stupid question!
-You should never judge a guy until you have walked a mile in his shoes, then you are a mile away and have his shoes
-Ice, snow, or grass, I'll still kick your ass.

Well....."yearly snowfall" and "base" are two different things....I can't speak for other states but I do know this about my own state:
*Wolf Creek Ski area see an average of 465" of snow a year, that's almost 40 FEET
*The single largest storm I can remember was in Steamboat Springs, where they got 120" in 48hrs, in the early 90's.
*Compacted Base, goes to Wolf Creek as well for averaging 120" by Christmas
Two years ago we got what was named the Holiday Blizzard, parts of the front range got 95" of snow in 2 days (Rollinsville, Co). They were snowmobiling food to people in the towns...haha....awesome.
This was in Denver, Those are 35" Truxus MT's on my CJ, and it has a 6" Lift....

Revelstoke's average is supposedly 70 feet a year. I know there is another area that gets even more but can't find it.

mackinsaw Thinks it's mighty convient for the neighbor to wait untill there's snow on the ground and to ask me if I would do him a massive favour and cut his firewood for the winter for money as he is incapable. Dang I got some work cut out for the next few days.
