i've always wanted one of these and i asked fir one fir my birthday back in march and we just finally ordered it a few weeks ago, what a pita to install! the directions dont even tell you everything you need to do< i had to remove the brackets for the plastic on the back of revs by drilling out the rivits which wasnt in the instructions< the bolt holes didnt line up in the plastic of the seat which i had to trim and the snaps barely reach the tunnel, there is a huge gap inbetween the consoul and seat. for 500+ dollars you think the quality would be better.

plus sides, looks absolutely BA, wieght savings, the hieght of the seet matchs my 10 plus inchs of rise perfectly and the feel of the seat is magical

btw the sled is a 06 mxz 600

these aftermarket seats take work to fit. they are usually put on mod sleds. the mtn mod seat on our apex didn't fit out of the box. it came with no instructions. we made it fit and look fine. But i think boss is gonna go under. customer service is horrbile peoples seats are new and falling apart. I once tried ordering a seat and they wouldnlt even answer their phone! ur lucky to get urs so soon ppl have been waiting over 6 months for their seats.

yup i ordered one for the rev and i think ur right roughrider, i was very lucky. it was just annoying that the quality was so poor, however i love the feel and look of it but i probally could have accomplished that with a 440 seat

The look of the boss seat is sweet. I bet if I were to put a boss seat or any other lite weight on an my indy I would save 25 pounds

If you check out Snowest there is a large a topic over there about how BOSS Inc has the worst customer service possible and it takes a long time to get their seats if you order from them. It's a rather large topic there and tons of people are very upset with the company. So much so that the company President has tried to address the topic.

DJ I wouldn't worry about it. The seats are not a perfect fit but are the best out there, well basically the only ones out there... On the REV especially they do not look perfect, but as you will find, they work well and are well worth the money. Should have called me first I could have given you some tips on the install.

I heard the same thing about Boss. I just picked my seat back up from a guy that does this on the side. Doesnt look to bad and has the same "stuffing" as a boss. He was able to keep the stock look to. Yes it is a little high but it all works out with my bar riser.
New Seat

Yes the seat is on a wedge chasis, my ole man had the same seat as mine and gas tank and we did it together...better price.

You should learn to read and write before you go posting on how much someones written directions suck. Of course they're not gonna make sense to you if you cant read them.....

but yes I have also read that Boss has been having a lot of problems, then these were compounded when the AC deal came through and they started over working themselves. Your best bet is to find a good Boss dealer and go through them instead, you'll get a lot better service.

I've got a boss seat, LOVE IT!!! had mine for 3 years now, no quality problems at all, fit was also very good on the RMK and install was a breeze, about 20 mins, maybe they don't have it just right for the Doo's yet.

I beg to differ. Mtn mod is becoming the new seat supplier in western canada since everyone up here is getting screwed over. Their seats are great quality, simple, functional, and the customer service is awesome. As boss goes under these guys are finally getting the recognition they deserve. I'm glad I ended up gettin the mtn mod seat and not boss. www.mountainmod.com

Doubtful. They have to much of the market segment, and too much market recognition. If it comes to it the company will change.

You've been around here long enough, do a search. In the beginning I gave a **** and contributed to this site because the quality of the members was top notch. In the last year or so this place has gone down the tubes.....I know personally I'm not the only one that thinks this site is full of ignorant kids that can't even help themselves.

And FYI, I don't have a riser on my HO, nor will there probably ever be one. I don't even want to get into your English/typing skills....even though XLT is always at everyone's throat for grammar.

You need to learn to shut your mouth, Wiguy05. You are an E-Prick 100% of the time on here. Who the hell do you think you are. You mean nothing to this site and there are a 100 more members that will back me up on that. I have YET to see you making a contributory post on this site. Your going to let it slide... Please.

You've been around here long enough, do a search. In the beginning I gave a **** and contributed to this site because the quality of the members was top notch. In the last year or so this place has gone down the tubes.....I know personally I'm not the only one that thinks this site is full of ignorant kids that can't even help themselves.

thankyou again ryan! this guys a prick, i think ill btch him out for having a rsier hand gaurds and mountain strap, he must be a plp because of that, or maybe it just fits his riding style?

maybe thats it, tall bars fit my body seat and style of riding!

And FYI, I don't have a riser on my HO, nor will there probably ever be one. I don't even want to get into your English/typing skills....even though XLT is always at everyone's throat for grammar.

Here is a solution. If you dont want to be part of the SOLUTION than dont be part of the problem. There is a difference between me correcting people and you degrading people. Get real.

Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers. Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other soldier. Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some. Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow. Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country. Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor. Rangers Lead The Way!.."All the way!" <<<<<1st Bat, 75th>>>>>
