i've been searching for chips for my phazer also. Now are you talking about the Fuel "chips" that allow you to change the fuel mapping or do you mean chips to gain power. Found this brand on ebay called genesis that makes chips for all efi sleds and it adds a claimed 25hp. found out it was just a scam which i beleive as you can't really chip a sled like you do to your truck.

i ride where its steep n' deep :P

You can't "chip" a Phazer. The computer does not have an external chip that you can remove and re-flash. I honestly don't know if you can even re-flash the computer that it has. I would assume so with the right equipment, but not everyone is going to have that.

After a real quick search, the Boondocker control unit is the only one I could find. It is not a chip, it simply plugs inline with the computer and injectors and allows you to tell the injectors what to do on top of what the computer already does. It is NOT plug and play. You have to be able to read and adjust fuel maps, because the box is shipped with nothing stored. It's main purpose is for people adding NO2 or forced induction to their engines, where you need precise control of the fuel map.

I really don't know how much more you could pull out of this this engine by adjusting the fuel map. It already runs on premium, and 80 HP out of a 500cc 4-stroke is pretty good. I would estimate 5, maybe up to 10 HP, with the engine still naturally aspirated. You'd have to open up the intake and exhaust as well to see any real benefits.
