I wonder if anyone else has issues with the Polaris front torque arm cracking near the welds, and the weld are built up and does not look like the right amount of current was used to weld the Polaris front torque arm to have impregnated the metal correctly.

My sled is a 1997 storm.

Yes. Many of us have had problems with that I think. I would guess that it's an Extra 10.

X10 always break. If you've never had one crack, consider yourself a minority. Edge suspensions are known for it as well, atleast the early models.

Not to mention the arms are quite cheaply made just by looking at them. Get your grinder out and gind away the old (most likely cold) weld and re-do them.
