Just gearing for 130 doesn't mean you can go 130. It takes horsepower to go fast, to overcome the frictions and aerodynamics of the sled. Assaults are not aerodynamic, they sit very high compared to a trail sled. There is a point of diminishing returns where the amount of HP you add is huge compared to the speed you gain. Keep us posted, it will be interesting to see what mods your friend makes to get the speed he is trying for, and the result.

Yes you could but still a 146 track is not designed to go 130mph and to swap everything would be a big dent in the wallet


He wouldn't have to change to a different length track if he bought the correct sled(IQ 800 or Dragon 800). I know a 146" ain't designed to go 130 MPH, I've been saying that the whole time.
