Hey beaches, 1000 Proof (AKA ProjectRMK) is back! I havn't stirred the pot on here for a long time! So hold on to yer ashes.

Trinities or Pilot's. This winter. Do it.

Kidding... Darin, we gotta ride this year and put that Dragon up against the M1000 in a few scenarios. Boondocking, climbing, trail handling and moguls and a few drags... Let's get some real world reviews and pix back to the peeps on this site. (Really, I just want a chance to ride that Dragon...)

Let's get a Beer and Wings night together for the Boise Crew!

Chris

It's about Damn time Chris, lol.
Can I poach your track since you got me by 300cc's?
I have all 3 sleds set up pretty good and ready to ride, helmet cam mounted to my sled, new batteries in the avi beacons, I even got a new to me Tahoe to pull the sleds with.

Ya, we are ready.
Now where is the snow?!?

Right on Darin!

All we need is Snow! My stuff is all tuned and ready to as well. We'll see what we can do about those 300cc's. But I hear those Dragons make up for it all by themselves... I do have one last item on the to-do list. My pipe is al SLP. I found that it was cracked almost all the way around where it connects to the Y-pipe. Should be warranteed, but other than that, I'm ready. I could always toss the stock pipe on if it happened to snow 6 feet tonight though...

Let's get ACG up here to ride with us!

Later!

I'm good for any weekend EXCEPT the weekend after Christmas.
I have a friend coming in from Seattle to do some riding in Feb,
but we don't have the exact dates hammered out on it yet.

A time share thing at McCall, That's cool. Why have we not ridden there yet? lol
McCall is good, I've ridden there enough to be able to get around OK,
but probably not enough to lead a ride of any significance.
I do have maps and all that too, but I still have to use the trails to get around there, and that's just not my thing at all.

Project Proof knows the Trinities really well, and that is about an hour and a half from my front door.
Long trail ride in, but great riding when you are there.

I know Pilot Peak really well.
An hour and 15 minutes from my front door and great riding.
We park at 6155 feet elevation, cross the "highway" and take the trail to about it's 3rd left turn going up the side of a mountain (3 minutes into the ride)
That's where we turn right and take a better route than the trail.
The enterance looks really sketchy because it is, you will be all WTF?
But then it dumps you up on this ridge and you follow it and a couple others up through the trees to the look out at 8800 plus feet elevation.

From there it's 80% to 90% off trail depending on which route we take to a couple mountain peaks and several great play areas.
Did I mention that I like riding in the trees?

We need 2 days for the Trinities. Drive up after work, stay at the cabin, ride all day and then decide wether or not to head home, to the saloon, or stay another nite and ride again. I do know it well and there are TONS of areas to ride! You could spend 5 days up there and never cross your own tracks. The trail ride starts at 4900 ft and is 8 miles to 6K. from there it is either another 3 miles to awesomeness, or another 8 to some good stuff, or pick any line and depart the trail whenever you feel. It is a minumim of 8 miles trail though. Good time to warm up the sled and make any adjustments you may need. Also perfect for heating up that breakfast burrito in the muff-pot and getting the energy drink to just the right temperature.

McCall has alot of good riding, but is always a bit more crowded than I like. Warren Wagon road then up to Brundage res. then any direction you choose. Been to Pilot's once, would love to explore it a bit more.

Name the weekend and I'll do my best. First weekend of every month is usually spent at Drill.

Darin, you will be fine against my M1000. It all comes down to rider ability...

Lets go up to Pilots next weekend Chris,
We have 2 storms coming through this week, and with what's there, we can get in some riding and I can show you around a little.

So when are you guys coming around here so we can show you around? I'm pretty flexible just let me know a couple weeks in advance. I would probably bring about 4 people, all very capable riders if that is alright.

Hey Chris, I have a nice 06 Echo 2 place and a new to me Tahoe to pull it with now.
Heated leather interior and all.
It's all black with blacked out windows.
I just got my Gravity Worx Racing logo and all cut out of white vinyl for it.
Want to split the gas for an SLC trip?

So what's the plan. I have plans on New Years and such. I think any weekend after that would be decent though. I will have to ask my buddies what rides they have set in stone and get something scheduled to head up there. You going to try make it down for the Avy ride this year Darin? I believe it is on February 7th. It is actually planned in a decent area this year with alot of good riding.

Last year it was in the coldest place possible, but had awesome snow but I just don't care for the riding in that area. If you head down on a Thursday evening, we will be riding Friday, mark the way to where everyone meets Saturday and play the rest of the day. Do the Avy ride on Saturday which is kind of uneventful but we will get a few hours of good riding in and then head down into SLC for the dinner. Then ride as much as you can handle on Sunday. Maybe get a hold of Phatty since he will be around on Saturday for the Avy Ride. I know Dan has been saying he wants to ride with us for the last couple years so maybe get Phatty to jump on the bandwagon and have a helluva crew together?

What's your schedule look like Chris?

I've got a friend coming down in Feb for some riding, but not the weekend of the 7th, so that is a definate possibility for me.

The Sunday and Monday nights after Christmas is a trip with my wife.
I got us a room at the Soldier Mountain lodge for those nights and we are going to ride the Fairfield area, hit the hot tub at night etc, should be good fun.

I'm good for pretty much any weekend after that, but I need to get it all worked out because there is a couple other weekend trips I'm going to have to fit in too.

EDIT:
Don is going to be here the weekend of Feb 14th from about Thursday through Monday, so the weekend of the 7th will be out as well because I need to keep up with my job and all.
That Monday the 16th is my 42nd Birthday too
