My question is who's giving RX-1 mountain sled shocks and springs away for $200, brand new? You can't buy one shock for $200, if they're rebuildable.

New take offs. Not in the package, but they came on a crate sled, and he swapped them out for floats.

Who and where?

Oh no....this is a train wreck.

RX-1 motor is pricey to rebuild if he tanks it.

Yes of course Bruce at Pioneer.

your dumb there is more to a turbo set up than hey lets just cut and weld. your family must have fallen off the crazy bus a long time ago because none of you make any sence. do you have any idea what it takes to run a turbo, and how much money it would cost to get it running right. sh!t if it was just plug and play any average redneck would have one.

ma... pa.... get me some JB weld im goin to make my skibob faster.

Before I continue, if I don't keep this sled for the whole season, I promise to never sign on to Snowmobile Fanatics again.

hmmm odd.... according to dimaonds web site much cheaper than that.

Just buy what you want, what he probably already has ordered. There was absolutly NO need for another one of your threads.

Honestly - and I hate to say it. You bring this site down, you gave too many eager young enthusiasts a bad name. Other sites mock you, and your posts.

I dont know if at any time, there isnt a mod assigned to each and every post. Often you see 2-3 lurking around. Ya think they would have better things to do.

400hp isnt much..... heck that new POS Hyundai is pushing that. Hell...there are 400hp Apex out there all over the place.

I have built and raced drag cars my entire life. 400hp wont get you far these days, even in a pump gas daily driver.

But hey....you got a little more attention outta me - GOOD JOB!

400+hp with 400+ ft/lbs of torque is pretty decent for a car that runs 89 octane, and it has supercharger in the garage waiting to go on, just needs the alternator mounts ( needs to be mounted on the bottom of the engine instead of the top ) which should bring it to around 500hp and 470 ft/lbs of torque.

Also, a guy on dootalk was the one that told me it would cost that much to get my shocks revalved.

Actually, seeing how my dad built a 5.4 4v Mustang gt, as well as 400hp dynoed Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo ( put bigger turbos on it ), and designs jet engines, he actually does know how to build these things. I'm clueless for the most part.

You finally admit it.

RC jet engines. $1000 an engine a year, not that much money. And actually, its because of student loans and crap like that. Being a pilot is cheap.

I thought your dad was a pilot or something?

Which engines does he design because I want to have a word with him about some of the BS I have to put up with at work. I am blaming him for EVERY stupid design/flaw that I run into now.

Ohhh...I see it is RC engines...so not "real" engines....I changed Some suspension components on my RC car, so does that make me able to perform mods/maintenance to real vehicles?

It doesnt make 400 ft/lbs of torque, its a small block it doesnt have the rod length or ratio to make that much torque....maybe 325. You may get the torque up to 400 but your camshaft profile would suffer the entire package and you would probably down on HP.

Again I have built and been around drag racing the entire time.

...... so you really have no idea how much it would cost to rebuild. You probably asked this stupid question in 3 boards. It took me 20 seconds to find the prices from the guy you were talking all big too.

Building RC jet engines take no where near the science of piecing together a turbo from junk yard parts and putting it on an engine thats going to cost 3k to replace.

If the shocks are rebuildable ship them off to Ian of Monster Performance. His website is in my sig. While at it I would get the shocks set up for the riding style and weight of the main rider. Ian's a great guy to deal with. He's the one who built my ZBroz fronts this past summer.
