Quick question for the Ski-Doo guys and girsl.

So, we are looking for a new sled and this sled came up 2000 SKI-DOO MXZ 700. We think we can get it for a pretty good price. But, we do not know too much about these types of sleds.

2000 SKI-DOO MXZ 700
new rebuilt engine
new 1-1/2 track
pipe & can
odometer: 1542
looks in good shape

what do you think a sled like this is worth? any upsides or downsides to these sleds? any input would be great.

i got some more information on it.
it was owned by a local snowmobile shop. they bought it new for their kid at the time. the kid then went to mechanic school. he put a track, pipe&can on the sled. then he decided to make the engine better so he rebuilt it. the time is now, and he wants another project to work on so he is selling it.

I've owned one of these sleds, same as yours except mine was a special edition "millenium sled"..I sold mine last winter for 2000, which was pretty low considering the majority of them were going for about 2500-2700 at the time. I think a good price would be around 2000-2300 for a really nice one.

That was the best snowmobile I have ever owned, I sold it with almost 7000 miles on it, and it never went as far as fouling a spark plug..NEVER. The engine is rock-solid, they ride pretty well too (not as good as a rev) but it was just a good all around solid snowmobile, I highly recomend looking at if you are serious about buying it. Hope this helps, enjoy the winter!

I don't use carbides on my ski's....they never touch the ground anyway!

^thanks for the reply.
i must have posted in the wrong section, i thought more people would have replied

we ended up buying it for 2300. the body has pretty high miles, but is in really good shape. the rebuilt engine only has 700 clicks on it. we took it out and it runs awesome, i think it wasnt too bad of a purchase.
i would upload pics, but we left it at the lake, and i fogot to take some when i was there.
