I changed the chain case lube in my new 1979 Kawasaki Drifter tonight and when I was putting the site plug back in the plastic plug stripped. Does anyone know what I can replace the plug with? What size plug will fit? Stock it's the red plug that is on the chain case cover just above where the speedometer is located.

Heres a pic of my Drifter- runs great after a good cleaning and some new crank seals!

Not tappable- it's plastic.

the plug itself is plastic? yes, you should be able to take the plug to a hardware store and get a bolt that will fit.

or you can take the plastic plug to the hardware store, get the next bigger tap and a bolt to make a new thread and plug.

nothing goes like 3 holes!!
