looks like you hit a rock or a culvert

Owning a race sled is like having a totally hot girlfriend..... All of your friends want to see it, feel it and check it out..... They all want to know what it is like to ride it, but if they only knew how much time and money it takes to keep one up, they would call you a fool!

I guess next time you should do a better prebuy inspections? I don't care how good you say your dealer is, he is still only selling you a used sled. That is why I will only buy NEW. I know it hasn't been abused or have hidden damage. And if it does, guess what? I take it back to the dealer and tell them to fix it. Warranty is awesome for stuff like that.

It must have been really cracked bad for it to completely fail like it did, especially since you swear you didn't hit a thing.

I am sorry EFP, I am not buying this story either. We aren't your parents here, you're not kidding anyone here. That A-arm would have failed before when you were beating around with it.

When you do fix it, fix it right and don't start welding stuff that is going to kill you if it breaks again.

Making a topic after wrecking your sled so you can get some information to use to prove to your dad it wasn't your fault makes sense.. Atleast that what I'd do..

I would love to hear what your dad said when he seen that carnage.

And there is no excuse for that ski being packed with mud on the top, that is rediculace..

Nobody in their right mind would let there 13 year old buy a 900cc sled. Did you drug your dad and trick him into buying it for you. If the Stock A-Arms broke driving 4-5 mph, maybe you should buy aftermarket A-Arms

I think the owner, previous to me ( 1 owner sled ), probably beat it a little, and caused this to happen. And I'm 15 btw.

This is right where I lost steering and stopped the sled. The reason for the mud is because I came out and turned on the road which was all mud.

is it just me or does anyone else see a good size rock buy broken ski in the third pic , i could be wrong .?

My dad told me he won't even help ship the shocks out. So I figure I'll go over my friends with the shocks boxed up with money, and go from there.

Well since he probably knows your lieing to him. I dont blame him. IM sure he probably told you to get that sled in the garage a few days ago. But since you wanted to try and learn to carve in 3 inches of mud you left it out. Then you come up with a lame ass excuse for the A arm folding..... he cant be that stupid.

Ok EFP, the more I think about this the more it doesn't sit right. It is winter so I am going to keep this comment non-bashing, and not looking for any follow-up bash posts against you from this post.......so here you go

I have 6 kids and I try to teach them to come to me with any problem they encounter, their fault or not, and I will decide if I want to help them or let them fix it on their own. The one thing I DO NOT want from my kids is a lie. If they were in your position and came to me and gave the story you did, I would laugh them out of the house, make them fix the sled and than sell it. If they came to me and said Blah, blah blah, I hit (whatever) I would be much more forgiving and help them to correct their screw up.

I am not going to come right out and call you a liar, I am sure others have and will, but at the very least, if this is a fairy tale you have made up, come clean with your dad. You will gain much more respect than telling him something it sounds he doesn't even buy. You don't even need to explain it to us here, tell us you hit a pink elephant, but make it right with your dad if there is more to the story. Good luck

i dont think that is a chuck of ice. that is 100% rock status.

Bambi would have been a better and shorter movie if he was shot in the beginning with his mother

if a ride on lawn mower takes bumps better than your sled, its time to upgrade

I dont think that rock would do the damage it did.....unless its completely immovable. It looks like it would bounce out of the way.

What I think happened if he didnt "hit" anything....he was out screwing around, ripped on the throttle and pulled the skis, skis came slamming down into some hard frozen mud, carbides dug and folded that a arm. If he was turning slightly it would have buckled it backwards just like that.

BRP you are such a bull ****ter. Like stated above that does not happen at 4-5 mph. It also does not just happen. You hit some thing plain and simple. I think it is the abuse you have put it thru already and the final break was caused by the rock in picture 3. You said a while back you took pictures of the cracks shortly after you got the sled home , POST THEM.

Being a father myself if you came in and told me this story I would call you a flat out liar and kick you right in the ass for lying. Than just so you didnt forget that lieing wasnt cool your sled would be sold. The next sled you would ride wouldnt be coming out of my pocket.

And finally just sell/trade the sled and as you said in your own words

Efp your one crazy mofo…. I haven’t really been on in a few months just pop on now and then. Just reading this you have gone through 3 or 4 sled just since summer I believe. THEN YOU BAUGHT A FUSION CONFUSION!!!!!! O and just out of curiosity does it have all the updates performed? I forget who mentioned about the carving and how he carves on the left but I agree 100% and how the left side ski is packed with mud. As far as him hitting something I don’t see no scuffs or any marks on the bottom skid plate that would lead to the a-arm breaking. If he were to hit a culvert or something I think it would have taken a nice junk out. Glad to see your having fun … …………
