1999 ski doo mxz 600 oil light - Whenever i hit the brakes the oil light comes on. Is this supposed to happen or is there something wrong.Thanks started by cannonway

Sounds like electrical gremlins to me. When I hit my brakes, my headlight goes off.

When u hit the brake the oil light is suppose to come on
its just the break light, same as my 02 mxz 500

Ya its supposed to come on when you hit the brakes so i wouldnt worry about it and just make sure you have enough oil

Yup, my 2000 700 did that every time. It prob. stays on when you engage your parking brake too doesnt it?



I don't use carbides on my ski's....they never touch the ground anyway!

It does that so you know that your light is working, so when you run your oil tank low, the light will work, and you won't run out.



Fix it till its broke!
