I am getting a new sled next year and it is between these two sleds and i just honestly dont know what to get. I do a lot of fast trail riding and moderate jumping as well but anyone that has driven or has friends that have them or just heard about these sleds i would greatly appreciate helping on my decision, Thanks

They aren't really in the same catagory. They will both provide the fast trail riding you described. The ProX is more of a banger. The MXZ can jump a bit too but I'd say is more trail rated.

I think the ProX is more of an on-trail smooth ride sled, with a some what decent suspension for off trail.

Serious? The X2 will take a lickin' and keep on tickin'! If I was going to do any jumping I would take the X2 in a heartbeat! You really need to get out of that Rev hole you're in. The Rev's have their perks...but sometimes there can be better alternatives.

Personally I'd stick with Polaris. The 700 VES Liberty engine is mean, and walker evans shocks are always nice. My dads got an '03 700 136', when you open up on it it sounds pretty nasty (engine performs very well), and it's stock. My '04 550 121' with dual carbides is a great, comfortable, and predictable trail sled, never had any major problems even with over 4K mi. I'm pretty sure the x2 is a 121'. Unfortunately I've never rode a Ski-doo rev, but I hear good things, such as a sense of fuel economy. My recommendation would be to test ride each and go which one you like.

I think the ProX is more of an on-trail smooth ride sled, with a some what decent suspension for off trail. The MXZ though will have a nice smooth power range, great fuel economy, the rider forward is awesome IMO, and it's great for everything. If it was my choice, I'd get the rev over the polaris all day anyday.

Brp, your wrong here. I often dont comment on most of your posts, but here it shows your lack of knowledge. The pro-x is anything but a smooth trail sled. It was polaris' race sled of the day, DO NOT get it confused with the edge chassis, which was polaris' trail sled. They are 99% different machines and are meant to serve 2 completely different purposes. The edge is a smooth, comfortable on trail sled while the pro x is a much more hardcore jumping, ditch banging, bombed out trail pounding sled that begs for more, yet can also be a trail sled (nothing like the edge however, which has a much more forgiving ride). Have you ever compared the suspensions on the edge vs pro-x? 100% different.

As for your question, XC, the pro x2 is a very nice sled and will take an absolute pounding and beg for more. The rev is durable and can take some abuse, but nothing like the pro-. The rev and pro-x are both cornering machines and both will ride the trails well if you get the shocks revalved on the pro-x2 since they are extremely stiff to begin with. The rev is a rider forward platform and the pro-x 2 has a somewhat rider forward position, but not much. The rev is a great sled and is comfortable on trails and can take some abuse too. The pro-x2 is a highly agressive trail sled with large jump/bump capabilities, which isn't for the faint of heart or someone who want a "pull and go" sled. These sleds need to be played with a bit to show their true potential, especially if you want to consistently trail ride it. If all factors are the same and condition is similar, i'd like the pro-x2 but i am biased. I have ridden a few revs and loved them however.

Oh right. I was thinking the Edge X. The ProX is semi rider forward if I'm correct. And it also features the same suspension setup as a race sled, as well as a styling shorty seat.

I like the rev. In my opinion it is a great trail sled no matter how hard you ride or how bumpy it gets.Iput 2500 miles on a 500ss last year and loved every second of it. Now my wife decided she whants to ride it and im riding a edge with fox clickers on it and i think it rides like a donkey! Save your back and buy the rev + the sdi is good on gas

I think they are both great choices. whatever you can get a better deal on would be the sled I would go with. The pro x-2 is the next closest thing to a full fleged race sled. It has a strong running motor and I loved my edge off trail.i have a rev and the fuel economy of the sdi is awesome. you can expect around 15-17 mpg with the sdi when riding hard. The suspension is good and can take a beating but polaris has been known for great rough trail suspensions for awhile now. The rider forward is great and once you get on a rev I dont think you could go back to a conventional stlye chassis like the pro x-2. the rev kinda lacks in off trail cappabilites IMO but a set of slydog powderhounds would be an excellent upgrade for better flotation in the powder.

Like I said above my decision would be based on the better deal and most importantly the one you feel most comfortable on.

I am very unbiased and I say the rev. I was going to pick up a pro-x2 800 last year but rider forward is so much better than the "old" way of riding. I will never go back to the old style, I don't care what people say on here, you ride a rider forward style sled for a while and then try to go back to something like a pro-x and you will not like it. I didn't think it would be that big of a difference but I was wrong. The rev will take just about anything you throw at the dam thing. The x2 can take a hell of a beating as well, probably a bit more than the rev. The rev is great on gas, smooth on the trails and awesome in the rough and tough from my experience. You said moderate jumping, you're not taking the sled off of 15 foot jumps landing flat on the ground. You do that with the x2 and it will keep wanting more. Therefore you really don't "need" a pro-x2 for your style riding. The walker evans can be very hard to adjust, alot of people do not like them. Pro-x's are very nice but the rev has alot more to offer.

For what you do the rev will suit you the best. JMO.

my mothers boyfriend has a 04 prox2 700 with a 136/2" and a slp pipe/can combo. not to mention a sick paint job. that sled rips, sweet suspension. he did have a problem with one of the resivoirs on the front falling off. thats the only complaint he had with it.
