From what I've heard you only lose your snowmobile privelages if your offense is on a sled. Call the DNR to be sure.

Just curious, if you did take that advice, which I would not suggest, what would happen? Fine, points on your drivers license?

As far as I'm concerned if you have so little self control that you absolutely can't resist drinking and driving you should be allowed to drive anything including a sled. There are already enough crazy sledders out there, we don't need another one sauced up on the trails endangering everyone else. Enjoy the heel toe express bud.

Yea but it does not say if I already have a dwi if I cant operate a seperately licensed snowmobile still...It only states that using a vehicle while under the influence is illegal....Think of it this way If I could not operate any motor vehicle that would qualify per say a lawn mower, forklift at work or a snow blower for that matter

In MN i think if you where born after 1987? or something they make you take a safety class with class room and seat time so you can get your sled permit

I think a "permit" would be nul and void under DUI charges, especially with being underage.

In MI, we have a "zero tolerance" law for anyone underage involved in alcohol or drug offenses and I know that in our county, the offenders get the book thrown at them, and that book gets thrown hard!

I don't know the circumstances of your arrest, and I am not one to judge, but if it were me, I would for sure get a lawyer who specializes in underage DUI's. Good luck bro.

Mike
