im new to snowmobiling this year and im buying a mxz 800 twin tommorrow. any comments on reliability and overall satisfaction of this sled. has 4800 miles on it and im picking it up for 2 grand

It's a good sled, I had a Zx sled (your chassis) with the 700 engine, I had over 7000 miles on mine before I got rid of it with no problems. To be completly honest, ski-doo seemed to really get these sleds right when they build them..I would check the compression on the cylinders to see if you are due for a new set of piston rings, ask the guy your buying it from if he ever got it rebuilt. Worse case senario you have 2-300 bucks in replacing the pistons and rings..which you prob dont! But the MXz's are great, solid chassis, strong engines, and they ride well even to todays standards and for 2000 dollars I'd say you got a DAMN fair price!

I don't use carbides on my ski's....they never touch the ground anyway!
