Check your gaskets and/or rubber diaphrams. If their is oil coming out thats most likely the root of the problem.

Or you are running pig rich. Or you still haven't cleaned out the fogging oil from your engine f you stored it correctly. Pop the covers off and have a look at the bellows.

Have you rode it? Does bog out on the top end??? If so its your bellows. 01 600 if they haven't been changed are prone to that! I the exact sled and blew the stock bellows, they are replaced with an upgraded bellow!

Ya ive road the sled alot... just tiny bit of oil is coming out of the blue adjustment screw... its not bogging at top end so that means the valve is opening right?? .... I took the cover off and couldnt find a hole in the bellow?? Where can u get upgrade replacement at?

oil out of ves = gasket or bellow leak.
Inspect and replace or just replace both.

Anyone can go out and carve around but its the in the woods going uphill, on one ski zigzagin with a leg up in the air givin it all the yank you got just so you can clear the tree beside you knowing your only chance is to stay balls out that parts the men from the groomer chasers.

Shine a flashlight through the bellow with the lights turned off in the shop/garage. That's the best way to see if there's any holes.

Common problem with those year of sleds. I blew all three of mine out. Your lucky the sled is still running like a champ. The big triple triple 800 are sensitive to those bellows. I lost all top end power on my sled and could figure it out for the life of me, then I found a pin hole in the damn bellows, changed it and the sled was a monster again. But yeah it should be dryer then a popcorn fart behind those VES caps.

Last time I cleaned my valves, it was an oily mess in there. I checked both bellows and they were fine. The valves seem to be opening fine. Sled is in the garage now. I'll pull the valves off and see what it looks like in there this year. How much do new bellows cost?

switch the gasket valves, put the left side to the right , and the right side to the left, and see what happen. If the leak side change it's your gasket.

Steve13,
Why would you want to put a XCR800 engine in a wedge chassis, when you already have a XCR800? The GenII chassis is lighter than the Wedge so it won't likely be a performer like your 03. Just a question.
If your doing it for fun and have nothing better to do then all the power to you. I think it would be fun project but just not sure what your objective is there.
Cheers

Its not for the weight loss, I Like the old style wedge, I have a old wedge body, and I have the motor. I'm not sure if I make a trail riding sled, or a top speed lake racing sled for now. (maybe a HTG mod sled)
the old hood as a crack and I think to paint it red metal flake.
its a realy long term project, as you can see I have many sled to enjoy myself for now. my 2003 xcr is a hell of a sled and I really love riding it. major mod are made to the 2003 and its freaking fast.
