Here's what I did to my wife's sled.
She really likes it in the mountains.
The better handeling does wonders for her in being able to get to the places we ride.

7" RSI risers, my extended cables and CNC Billet lefty, RSI 10 degree flat chromo bars, RSI high powered grip heaters, grips, and extended brake line, WPS Mountain bar.

I did the same thing to my Dragon RMK, except that I went with the RSI 9" risers and Aluminum Taperwall bars in the same bend.

When installing new bars is it ABSOLUTELY necessary to buy new hand warmers or can you use the stock ones?

-5.5 inch rise.
-Solid steel pipe with steel upper plate.
-Extra long brake line off an old 340 sport.
-Extra stout positioning locking system (rusty allen head drilled through lower mount). Guaranteed not to slip.
-Powermad hand guards.
-Really nice gravityworxracing throttle cable (the only professional part of this setup).

Cost??? I forgot what the cable ran me, it was worth every cent though. The rest I had laying around the shed.....

96 xlt sks/rmk. custom 5.5 inch riser on the bars, custom air intake, custom front shock mounts, custom oil feed channel in block to inner pto end bearing, primer (I hate chokes), custom = I made it myself

You can use your stock ones if you can get them off. It can be tough, definetly takes more patience than I had.

If you have a modern set of warmers (the paper thin element ones) then all you do is very gently cut the grips off and pull the warmers free of the bars.

To put them back on use a little brake cleaner to remove all the glue on the warmers. Clean the new bars with some cleaner to make sure any oil of grease is removed. Get some 3M spray on adhesive. Give the bars and warmers a very light layer of glue, let them set for ten minutes, then gently lay the warmers in place. Take your time and lay the warmers from the center to the outer edges so you don't get any air bubbles of folds in the element. After they are on straight then work them into the bars with your thumb to make the glue really hook up.

Use compressed air to put the new grips on so you reduce the chance of damaging the heaters and you should be good too go.

If you have the old "hot hands" style grips then cut them off, throw them away and replace them with the thin element type.

Here's the set up on my 07 Dragon RMK:

RSI 10 Degree Flat Bars, Aluminum Taperwall,
RSI 9 Inch Pivot Risers,
RSI Stub Hooks,
WPS Flexible Mountain Bar,
Gravity Worx Extended Throttle cable,
RSI Extended brake Line,
RSI Wrap Grips and High Powered Grip Heaters,
Gravity Worx CNC Billet Dual hrottle Kit,
Epic Helmet cam with under water rated case for deep powder, self contained.
The RSI bar pad, of course,
and then extended 5 wires individually and wire loomed it all in for good protection.

All in all, I really like the way this feals over stock.
The IQ works very well with the stock set up, but just handles so much better in the powder this way.
It just feals more feather light with the added leverage and with not having to bend down to the bars.
Very confidence inspiring.
