In the early 90's I did, but now the school has said no more. You should check with the school first.

I want to sometime here, but one major problem. When we get snow and have school, there isnt enough to ride. When we get enough snow to ride, we dont have school, and its all gone after a couple days. Id say they would frown upon it, and i might get in trouble because its not technically street legal. But someday i want to drive an ATV and a tractor to school.

well kids drive tractors to my school. well for ffa. and a kid rode his the other day and put it in the parking lot with all of the other high school cars but i dont know if he got into trouble. we have a trail that goes to the fair grounds out behind our school and thats where we were to park them. but why can we park them in the parking lot. that what its there for right?

We had a day when us farm kids would drive a tractor to school. There is still a school here where the farm kids drive a tractor to school on a certain day yet LOL.

First thing I would recommend it to check with the school administration to see if there is something in their policy manual that does not allow snowmobiles on school property.

Second item to check is the route you plan to use to get there. Are you going to run into a tresspassing problem if you go across private property to get to the school? Also check with the local law enforcement to find out what the local ordinances are about snowmobiles within the city.

In the country in some schools you are aloud to. But in the city its different because you would have to ride down the streets or sidewalks to get to school.

I graduated from high school about ten years ago, but we drove our sleds to school every day we could. I wouldn't worry about it unless some one with authority told you different.

We used to ride our sleds and quads to school all the time. Our school was small and most of us were farm kids so it was kind of accepted. We never had a problem. Id ask the school first and see what they say.

We ride our sleds to school as much as possible. But then again our school is on the edge of town and there's a trail going right by it. We park in the back of the school out of sight. some times we leave our helmets in the office and they are fine with it.

Kids do it here all the time. Whats it gunna hurt? I say go for it and if they say something then deal with it, but until then ride it! It's a wonder kids do drugs and drink all the time, they can't do anything productive cause it's against the "rules". The American people have lost thier heritage and it's a shame!

When I was in school, my buddies and me would always ride. They gave us our own parking spot outside the front doors also, and had us keep all our gear in the office.

I ride my sled to prison all the time. They dont say anything about it. But then again "by law" its not illegal as the original poster said.

So with that, if its "illegal" as you say. Then its ILLEGAL.
