My hood likes to bounce around while going over bumps or jumping. So I think I am going to by some hood straps and put them on both sides of the hood to hold it down. Has anyone done this? Does it work?
Old post I know but here's a pic of mine. I got these straps from the local Yamaha dealer. I'm sure you could get something like them from about any dealer but these were an actual Yamaha OEM part, he had them on hand so I took them.

I started on polaris skis with woody's executive series. Then went to c&a's with cb's bars. Then went back to my polaris black/red skis with shaper bars. Now finally I am going to be running my red c&a's with 7.5" shapers.
The c&a's are like running power steering, you don't need to put any effort for it to turn.

02 440 is running boggy at start sometimes but mainly random times when riding it will just get boggy and cant move almost the nits back to normal ideas?
Probley fouling a plug, have you checked to see if they are wet? The jetting is not quite as forgiving on those 440s and require some attention with temp changes.
Does that sled have the same motor as the XCF 440? because ours unloaded on us and bogged and stalled all over hells acres, we had to do alot of playing around with the jetting to get it to run right.

What is the stock height for the bar risers on a 2003 pro x 600? I am 6'6 and need at least 3to4 inches on top of the stock riser. Also are the throttle and brake lines long enough stock to extend? does anyone have anygood reccomendations on where to get a nice set up? Thanks.
Also looking for a shorty seat. Thanks
