I have a 2001 xc 700. runs mint but when i carve to the left the belt tension loosens so much that the sled will stop. what would be causing this?

Check your motor mounts.



I make sh!t out of crap

Ditch Compacter- 2001 RMK 600 motor and suspension, 1999 RMK 700 chassis, Thundershift weights set up to 62g, almond/gold spring, SLP pipe and silencer, 136x1.75 track, 1994 indy 440 seat, 19-40 gears, 34 deg. helix,

02 Mountain Cat 800 EFI, 159x2 camo extreme, v-force 3 reeds, holz front a-arms, C&A ultrapro skis, lightweight can, ported track, boss seat, extra cooling, LED brake light, lefty throttle

68' firebird (still restoring)

yeah thats what i what i was thinking, i tried tightning up the motor was just as loose feeling i think it maybe the rubber pieces in between the brackets

sure the belt isnt getting wet ,with snow

no because ill get stuck in a carve leaned to that side and if i pick up the left side and lean it to the right the thing will take right off after that it seems to be just when the sled is leaned to the left

Are you sure the belt isn't getting wet. I can't think why leaning only to the left would cause the belt to slip. Unless the motor was trying to fall over itself. But then I think the problem would show up elsewhere. What about if you lean the sled to the left and not lay it over on it side. Like only in a few inches of snow.

yeah its only when u lay it over, but if your just turning and leaning a little bit its fine, only when you carve, that why i was wondering if it would be motor mounts and it was just causing the belt to be uneven and slip
