We went yesterday on new years day for the first time of the season. It was my dad, his friend james, my sister and I and we went to greenwater just outside enumclaw. The snow was amazing, up to 3 feet of powder in some places and it was coming over the hood like crazy. My bars worked great, the pivot did get a slight bit loose and luckly I brought the wrench to tighten them back up. Here are some pictures, we are going to the same place tomorow and ill post some more.

Try using the box end of a 5/8 wrench on the allen to use it as a cheater bar.
That's what I did on mine.
They do still pivot when my body flys through them (evedentlt and thankfully as I found out on Tuesday) but they stay up in place nicely until then.
I also use lock tight red on the threads.

My dad had a socket allen wrench set that I used instead and it worked just fine
